Juror 12 is a single-player game that keeps your game progress on your own device. It uses an online service for AI dialogue and voices, and Google AdMob for ads.
Juror 12 has no sign-up, no login and no user accounts, so there is no account to delete. We do not ask for your name, email, phone number or any personal identifier. The juror name and appearance you choose live only inside the app on your device.
Your progress — chosen juror name and portrait, settings, completed-case history and verdicts, Case of the Day streak, unlocked Superhero Bonus Cases, any trial in progress, and the first-launch tutorial flag — is stored only in local storage on your device. Juror 12 does not upload it to us. It is removed when you uninstall the app or clear its data, and it does not transfer to other devices.
Juror replies are written by an AI language model. When you tap Make your case, the app sends our backend your chosen approach and evidence, your current vote, and game details (the case, the juror and the outcome). There is no free-text chat; your chosen juror name, device identifiers and advertising identifiers are not sent. Our backend forwards this to an AI provider (Anthropic's Claude, via the Emergent integration service) only to generate the reply, and does not store it. We have not verified how long those providers may retain request data; their own policies apply. AI dialogue is part of the core game, so it can't be turned off separately.
Spoken witness lines and the narrated aftermath are produced by a text-to-speech provider (OpenAI, via the Emergent integration service) through our backend. Only the game's own case text is sent. Generated audio is cached on our server, keyed by a hash of the text and voice settings, and older files are removed automatically. Voices are optional: you can turn off Witness voices and the Aftermath narrator in Settings.
Our backend receives your IP address with each AI-dialogue or voice request. We use it only for abuse prevention (rate limiting), holding it in memory for up to one day. It is not written to a database, sold, or linked to any profile. Our hosting provider may keep standard request logs for security and operations; we have not verified their retention period.
Juror 12 shows ads from Google AdMob: optional rewarded videos you can choose to watch for a persuasion hint, to change one juror's vote to your position (once per playthrough of a case), or to unlock a Superhero Bonus Case, and an occasional full-screen ad at the break after a standard case's verdict. There are no banner or app-open ads. Ads are never required to play the standard docket.
The Google Mobile Ads SDK, provided by Google as a third party, automatically collects and shares with Google: IP address (which may be used to estimate approximate location); app interactions such as app launches, taps and ad views; diagnostic information about app and ad performance; and device identifiers such as the Advertising ID and App Set ID. Google uses this for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention. Juror 12 does not receive or store this data. See Google's policy at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
On first launch the app asks for your age range. It stays on your device and no birthdate is asked or sent. If you choose under 13, no ads are requested at all. For ages 13–17, ads are requested as for users under the age of consent: non-personalized only. On each launch, Google's User Messaging Platform checks whether consent is needed where you live (for example the EEA, UK, Switzerland or certain US states) and shows Google's consent message when required. Ads are only requested when that allows it. Where required, an 'Ad privacy choices' option in Settings lets you change your choice. You can also reset or delete your Advertising ID in Android settings.
Juror 12 does not include separate analytics, telemetry or crash-reporting tools (such as Firebase Analytics or Sentry). The only third-party SDK that collects data is the Google Mobile Ads SDK described above.
Communication with our backend uses encrypted HTTPS/TLS. The Google Mobile Ads SDK sends data to Google over its own encrypted connections.
We do not sell your personal information. Processing by Google to serve and measure ads is governed by Google's policies and your consent choices.
Juror 12 depicts fictional crimes and courtroom themes for players aged 13 and over and is not directed to children. No ads are requested for players who say they are under 13. Teens get only non-personalized ads. For everyone, ads are limited to content suitable for general audiences.
If this policy changes, the updated version will appear in the app and at the hosted policy page. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
